Overview (Program Summary)
ACC Chicago is happy to announce an upcoming Practice Group Roundtable Luncheon that is a repeat program from September 11th but Downtown on the 19th. These Roundtables are specifically designed to give those who are interested in a particular practice area a chance to interact and discuss topics of interest pertaining that practice in an intimate small group lunch session. Seats will be limited so we ask that you register only if you are quite intentional about attending. Please note there is no CLE credit for these lunch chats.
Our September 11th and 19th Luncheons will be held in Wheeling and downtown with a focus on:
The recent wave of companies that are refusing to provide goods or services to perceived “hate groups.” We will discuss:
(1) An overview of the current climate in which many companies are being forced to take a position on whether to conduct business with hate groups;
(2) How to determine whether a particular group or organization is a hate group;
(3) Possible legal claims that may arise from a company’s decision to no longer conduct business with such groups; and
(4) The practical issues that businesses need to consider in implementing such a policy.
