ACC EuropeDigital transformation and HR: how new technologies influence the lifecycle of recruitment and cybersecurity in your workplace
Today's workplace and workforce are changing due to a multitude of social, technological, economic and political forces. New technologies and media have created new jobs and new industries while also radically changing how employees are recruited across all sectors. Digital transformation impacts every business.
The Digitisation of HR poses a variety of challenges and opportunities. During our event, we will identify such challenges and provide guidance on how to tackle them efficiently.
We will investigate among others:
• Diversity and privacy in recruitment: how diversity and privacy in the recruitment process are impacted
by new technology, including the use of AI. What are the (legal) risks and how to mitigate these?
• Background checks: how far can one go in using social media, blockchain and other new technologies
when investigating a candidate?
• Discrimination and algorithms: Can algorithms ensure the absence of discrimination in the recruitment
process? How to avoid biased recruitment and ensure proper risk allocation?
• New recruitment methods – the use of game and real-life simulations for efficient recruitment. May an
employer require the candidate to take a test? How should the results of the test be interpreted? Does it
give pertinent information?
• Cybersecurity: the important role HR has to play to involve employees in avoiding data breaches and
security incidents in general.
• E-signature: the implementation of e-signatures in an employment context? How can it be implemented?
What is its legality and the probative value in an employee dispute?
