Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Tennessee

Join ACC TN and Nelson Mullins for a Free Lunch and One Hour CLE! Not only do you have another opportunity to attend a program this month, but you are also invited to participate in ACC’s Global Community Service month!

This year the middle Tennessee section of our chapter will be supporting the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee. The mission of Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands (“LAS”) is to advance, defend and enforce the legal rights of low-income and vulnerable people in order to secure for them the basic necessities of life. More information about Legal Aid may be found on its website: https://las.org/

Every year LAS works with hundreds of victims of domestic violence. These victims may be in transition and need small toiletry items. LAS also uses donated gift cards to purchase food, diapers, gas or clothing for victims in transition.

Please consider supporting the Legal Aid Society by bringing a LAS “wish list” item to our September 25th CLE. Legal Aid’s wish list items include: gas cards, gift cards and travel size toiletry products. We will also have a representative from Legal Aid speak briefly about ways to get involved, including the ACC/Nelson Mullins/Legal Aid Conservatorship Pro Bono Project.

CLE - Noon - 1:00 pm

Program Description:

Each day companies gather an increasing amount of information that is subject to ever-higher regulatory burdens. Businesses now must track and manage data in new ways and make sure that vendors and other third parties do as well. This discussion will address important steps in building a compliance structure to meet the most stringent of these new requirements while maintaining flexibility to meet customer and business needs.
