Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Middle East and North Africa
Baker Botts invites you to an Attorney Client Privilege breakfast seminar where you will hear from partner Lucas Pitts and senior associate Dustin Appel who will share their legal knowledge and practical experience.
This seminar is of particular relevance and interest to the ACC members, since we'll address whether the concept of privilege applies to in-house counsel and your documents and communications with your internal clients. The seminar will focus on various concepts of privilege accorded to documents and communications under English and US law, as well as leading jurisdictions in the Middle East, such as the attorney-client, litigation and work product doctrines. The discussion will include points on how to identify and maintain applicable privileges and how privilege may be lost or overcome in certain circumstances. Attendees will also be provided with best practices with respect to privileged materials both in litigation and in dealing with internal clients. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network with peers.
