Overview

The 2020 Election and Health Care:
How Can You Get Prepared?

With the 2020 election season in full swing, health care continues to be one of the most contested and defining issues in politics. ACC Houston and Seyfarth Shaw invite you to join us on Thursday, September 5th, where Leon Rodriguez, the former Director of the Office for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services who presided during the Affordable Care Act’s launch, will present his thoughts on healthcare in the current political landscape.

After Leon highlights the key issues, we will have an open panel discussion with leading Houston-area health care in-house counsel to discuss not only the current political landscape on key health care issues, but also, the possible outcomes for our nation’s health care system in the months and years after the 2020 election.  Your questions to the panel will be welcome!

Additional topics will include:

  • Medicare for All proposals and how they can affect you
  • Proposals we might expect from President Trump and Capitol Hill Republicans
  • DC’s current politics of health care
  • Likely contested health care issues in the general election
