Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Southern California

Bringing in a book of business remains one of the biggest and most daunting barriers to partnership for many up and coming diverse attorneys. This is further exacerbated by the fact that the percentage of minorities, for example, continues to be low at big law firms especially at the highest levels. This program aims to help diverse outside counsel bridge that gap. Participants will hear from a number of in-house counsel who will discuss their experience looking for and hiring outside counsel, including outside counsel who happen to be a minority or LGBTQ. Each panelist will share their list of Best Practices on how diverse outside counsel can get their business and keep that business for the long term. Participants will leave with the tools and knowledge they need to develop their own book of business, as members of a new generation of diverse rainmakers.
