Hello to all our ACC Australia members and our broader community,
As I approach the end of my second month as the Managing Director of our well-regarded association, I’d like to take a moment to share my initial reflections and experiences with you.
This has been an exciting journey of reconnection, collaboration, and setting our sights on a promising future. It’s also been a time of personal transition as my family and I have moved from the UK to Australia to embrace the sunnier side of life.
From the outset, I recognised the heart of our association are our people. Attending several Board and state committee meetings has shown me the diverse perspectives that drive our association, and I am grateful to have witnessed our team's passion and dedication.
One of my highlights so far has been reconnecting with familiar faces, those of you I had the pleasure of meeting at last year's Exclusive Leadership Retreat and our In-house Legal National Conference in Brisbane. It’s been wonderful to see you again, and now embark on a journey of working closely together.
As I stepped into this role, it became apparent that we need to clarify our value proposition for our members, our corporate partners, and, more widely, the broader legal community. Providing exceptional value to our stakeholders is a key focal point on our agenda and I am committed to delivering tangible benefits that enhance the growth and success of every individual and organisation affiliated with our association. Your input, ideas, and feedback are invaluable in achieving this mission, and I encourage each of you to actively engage with myself, your state committees or our head office team to help shape the path ahead.
As we gear up for the upcoming In-house Legal National Conference, I am thrilled to witness the enthusiasm and dedication evident among our team members. With an "all-hands-on-deck" approach, we are working tirelessly to ensure this event becomes a resounding success. It is an incredible opportunity for us to showcase the strength of our community and the impact we collectively make.
The national conference is just the beginning of our journey together. While our team are fully immersed in the preparations for the event, I'd like you to know our vision extends beyond the present year. Our gaze is firmly fixed on the future, and we are already laying the groundwork for the years to come. Strategic planning and forward-thinking are at the core of our efforts to ensure that we remain agile, adaptable, and successful in meeting the evolving needs of our members and corporate partners.
In conclusion, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each one of you for the warm welcome and support I've received to date. I am honoured to serve as your Managing Director and look forward to engaging with each of you as we embark on this exciting journey together.
