Mr Tye is currently General Counsel, Australian Fisheries Management Authority, and has worked as a Government Lawyer since 2012. Until recently he was Deputy Chief Legal Counsel at IP Australia, a position he held for 5 years. In that position Mr Tye provided in-house counsel advice on a broad variety of matters including employment law, privacy and FOI, Government purchasing, general administrative law and Intellectual Property matters. He assisted with leading legal teams and strategic planning for the Office of Legal Counsel and the Agency more broadly.
