The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations, nonprofits and other private-sector organizations around the globe.

Join ACC

The 2026 ACC Nominating Committee, chaired by the Vice Chair of the ACC Board of Directors, Shannon Klinger, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary at Moderna. As you well know, the dedication and commitment of the association’s volunteer leaders have been the foundation of our success, and it is especially important that we continue to identify strong candidates for the ACC Board of Directors.

Nominations of candidates, including self-nominations have been EXTENDED until Monday, March 9th.

Nominations should include a brief biography and a short statement about why the individual should be selected for the board.

Submit Your Nomination

The principal criteria include a demonstrated commitment to the association and/or being a recognized leader in the profession. As always, we seek a diverse candidate pool, and consider a variety of factors:

  • The type of organization represented (e.g., public/private, market capitalization, for-profit/non-profit)
  • Size of legal department
  • Practice concentration and/or industry experience
  • Geographic representation to reflect the breadth of the association membership
  • International experience (such as living and/or working outside of the United States or managing global staff or issues)
  • Independence, objectivity, and capability of serving as a representative of the association as a whole, irrespective of prior or current practice network or chapter affiliations.

All Board candidates must also be willing to commit and have sufficient time and employer support to discharge the duties of Board membership, including travel to and from ACC Board meetings.

The Nominating Committee will determine a final slate of nominees for election by the Board of Directors at the October 2026 Board meeting.
