Professor Crawford Spence (Course Director)

Crawford is Professor of Accounting and Vice Dean for Executive Education at King’s Business School. He has held full-time academic appointments in the UK, the UAE and Canada, as well as visiting positions in France, Spain, Norway and Japan. His research is principally focused on the sociology of the professions, financial professional groups, how they negotiate political, social, cultural and economic change, and comparing these cross-nationally. He is an experienced executive education instructor, the director of King’s Finance for Strategic Impact programme and was previously director of the Executive MBA programme at Warwick Business School. 

Gillian Brooks

Dr Gillian Brooks

Dr Gillian Brooks is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) of Marketing at King’s Business School. She is a leading expert in the fields of influencer marketing, consumer culture and social media. Trained as a sociologist, Gillian investigates core topics in consumer behaviour, social media and digital marketing strategy primarily through qualitative research methods (e.g., ethnography, participant observation, interviews and content analysis). Gillian’s research has been published the Journal of Advertising, Forbes, The Guardian, the Journal of Marketing, Newsweek, The Telegraph, The Times, and The Washington Post.

Dr Alexandra Budjanovcanin

Ali Budjanovcanin is Reader in Leadership at King's Business School and a theme lead in the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership. Prior to her role in the Business School, she was employed as a Senior Research Associate at the NIHR funded Patient Safety and Service Quality Research Centre. Ali’s research focuses on the scholarly study of careers, examining the implications of occupational choice across the career lifecycle (studying occupational regret and other indicators of career adjustment) and is particularly interested in the unfolding of professional careers.

Dr Catherine Tilley

Dr Catherine Tilley is Reader in Business Ethics & Sustainability (Education) and Impact Director, Centre for Sustainable Business at King’s College London. Her research examines two phenomena: first, how people in companies incorporate social and environmental sustainability into their decision-making; and second, the work of Chief Sustainability Officers and other sustainability leaders. She teaches on topics related to sustainability, ethics, leadership, strategic uncertainty and decision-making for undergraduate, postgraduate and executive students.

Professor Dana Minbaeva

Dana Minbaeva is Professor of Strategic Human Capital at King's Business School, King’s College of London, UK. She also has a part-time appointment at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Professor Minbaeva published over 70 articles in international peer reviewed journals, numerous book chapters and reports. Her research on strategic and international HRM has appeared in such top international journals as Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Human Resource Management, and many others.
