Professor Crawford Spence (Course Director)

Crawford is Professor of Accounting and Vice Dean for Executive Education at King’s Business School. He has held full-time academic appointments in the UK, the UAE and Canada, as well as visiting positions in France, Spain, Norway and Japan. His research is principally focused on the sociology of the professions, financial professional groups, how they negotiate political, social, cultural and economic change, and comparing these cross-nationally. He is an experienced executive education instructor, the director of King’s Finance for Strategic Impact programme and was previously director of the Executive MBA programme at Warwick Business School.

Dr Gillian Brooks

Gillian Brooks is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Strategic Marketing. She joined the faculty from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Trained as a sociologist, Gillian investigates core topics in consumer behaviour, social media and marketing strategy. Her research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Forbes, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times and Newsweek. Previously, she was a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University. Prior to entering academia, Gillian worked as a publicist at a global media relations firm in Toronto, Canada.

Dr Alexandra Budjanovcanin

Ali is a Lecturer in Work Psychology and Human Resource Management. Her research interests are in professional careers, emotions in the workplace and gender. She has worked with a broad range of institutions and published in leading academic journals, including The Law Society Gazette.

Dr Catherine Tilley

Catherine is a Lecturer in Business Ethics & Sustainability and returned to academia after a career in management consulting. She has an MA and PhD from Cambridge University and an MBA from Manchester Business School. She has been a Visiting Scholar at Stirling University and is a Fellow in Construction Engineering Management at Cambridge University. Her research focuses on the ways in which companies bring social and environmental considerations into decision-making, and the mechanisms by which organisational context can enable socially and environmentally responsible decision-making.
