When you are not attending education sessions, the ACC Exhibit Hall is the place to be. This Annual Meeting hub provides countless networking opportunities to enhance your overall conference experience. Tip: Remember to bring plenty of business cards.

  Join other in-house counsel in the ACC Classroom to network before and after viewing live tutorials and demonstrations on the latest offerings, services, and technology solutions from ACC Alliance Partners and exhibitors.

• Networking Lunch
  
  Connect with existing friends and colleagues or make new contacts, and use this time to help you achieve your specific meeting goals.

• Receptions
  
  Head to the exhibit hall each evening to meet your peers, continue conversations, explore solutions from law firms and legal service providers, and enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres in a friendly, casual environment.

Network Business Meetings

All ACC members are invited! You don’t have to be a network member to attend and attendance doesn’t mean you have to make a time commitment. Participation in ACC Networks offers an opportunity to benchmark with peers and recognized industry leaders. Feel free to attend any of the network business breakfast or lunch meetings to learn more about the broad range of activities offered. These meetings, limited to ACC members, are an opportunity to participate in planning future Annual Meeting programming.

Just for New Members and First-time Attendees!

If you are new to ACC or attending the ACC Annual Meeting for the first time, be sure to attend this informal orientation. Join your peers for breakfast, hear from ACC leaders on member benefits, view a live demonstration of ACC’s online resources, and share the first-time attendee experience with other in-house practitioners. Women in the House (WITH) Breakfast

The ACC Foundation’s Women in the House Initiative will host breakfast meetings on both Tuesday and Wednesday to foster networking and help ACC members develop their careers.

• Tuesday’s gathering will feature a fireside chat on the strengths that women bring to the workplace and can leverage to become general counsel and other law department leaders.
• Wednesday’s meeting will feature table topics with one rotation on topics essential to advance your career: informal leadership, negotiating strategies, choosing a new career path, and more.

Get Moving

Join your fellow attendees for any of the following activities:

Stretch your minds and bodies! Come stretch your muscles, strengthen your core, and clear your head during the afternoon breaks. Carolyn Coffey of CSC and owner of Kerr Gulch Pilates LLC will teach a rejuvenating stretch class using a chair and bands on Monday, October 22 from 4-4:30 PM and Tuesday, October 23 from 4-4:30 PM. Come as you are in business attire. No prior experience is necessary. Classes will be held in Meeting Room 1.

ACC Runs (and Walks) Austin. An informal gathering for runners and walkers on Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 AM; meet at the concierge desk in the lobby of the JW Marriott Austin. All speeds and distances welcome. A great opportunity to meet your peers informally before sessions start.

• Meetup Locations (NEW) – Looking for a designated location to continue conversations with new contacts, or catch up with friends and colleagues? Designated meetup locations are available throughout the convention center to help you facilitate your meetings. Check the convention center maps in the program guide (pages 4-5) and/or the meeting app (in the "Maps" tab). The designated meetup locations will also be prominently labeled onsite with the following icons: 

• In session rooms – before and after the program

• ACC Annual Meeting hotels – in the common areas (lobby and/or coffee shop)

• Nightly events – hosted by ACC Chapters, Networks, and Annual Meeting Sponsors
