Event Code of Conduct

The Association of Corporate Counsel, Arizona Chapter (“Chapter”) strives to ensure a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment at all Chapter sponsored activities and events (“Events”).

Anyone attending Events must act in an acceptable manner, treating all others with respect and civility.

  1. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, guests, sponsors, speakers, exhibiters, vendors and venue staff.  
  2. Unacceptable conduct includes:
    1. Violence, threats of violence, unwanted touching or physical intimidation
    2. Disruptive behavior
    3. Verbal or written harassment on any basis, including sexual harassment
    4. Displaying inappropriate visual information
    5. Possession of weapons or illegal substances
    6. Illegal behavior
    7. Violation event or venue rules
    8. Failure to follow safety instructions from Chapter staff
    9. Any behavior that the Chapter believes lacks respect or civility

Complaints

If you notice a dangerous situation, threat of violence or someone in distress, immediately contact appropriate authorities or emergency services. 

To report Unacceptable Conduct, notify a Chapter Board member, the Chapter Administrator or file a complaint using the Chapter's Complaint Form

Please provide as much detail as possible, including witnesses. Your complaint may be anonymous. Information in reports will remain confidential to the extent possible.

Consequences for Violating Code of Conduct

Anyone asked to stop unacceptable conduct must comply immediately. Failure to comply, may result in any one or more of the following: 

  • Removal from the Event without refund or warning
  • Prohibiting attendance at future Events 
  • Revocation of ACC membership
  • Referral to the Arizona State Bar
  • Referral to local law enforcement
