Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC Australia
Baker McKenzie, together with ACC Australia, is pleased to invite you to join our webinar exploring the progress of Australia's new merger control regime.
Since January 2026, Australia’s mandatory merger control regime has fundamentally reshaped deal execution — with tighter thresholds, higher costs, and more prescriptive timelines.
Join our experts Georgina Foster, Lynsey Edgar and Richard Lustig for a practical update on how the regime is operating in its early months, including:
• Key trends emerging from initial ACCC filings
• Common pitfalls and how to avoid delays in the new process
• Differences between the waiver and notification pathways
• The voiding consequences of getting it wrong
• The intersection between the ACCC and FIRB approval processes
• How ACCC confidentiality and approval operates in an ASX listed company context
• Strategic considerations for transactions in 2026 and beyond
Designed for in-house counsel, deal teams and advisers, this webinar will equip you with the insights needed to navigate the regime with confidence.
We hope you'll be able to join us.
