Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC EuropeWe would like to invite you to participate in our forward-looking GC roundtable dinner, in cooperation with the Europe Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), at Ristorante Savini, Thursday November 7th 2024.
Looking ahead to 2025, economic signals appear mixed – compounded by ongoing military and geopolitical conflicts, increasingly polarised societies and the spectre of a major US election in November.
Once again, the general counsel is expected to be front and centre of efforts to support business growth, whilst managing risk and promoting the values of their organizations
The aim of this dinner is for us to come together to discuss key themes including:
• Health & wellbeing - managing the in-house team’s heavy workload and getting recognition for the work they are doing.
• Green transition - In addition to implementing new regulations, providing balanced, strategic advice to the board.
• Managing global risk - dealing with heightened regulatory scrutiny in areas such as digitalisation, foreign investment, sanctions and directors' liability.
• Artificial intelligence - working alongside the business to drive opportunities but also to flag risks and limitations.
• Changing the composition of in-house teams - the emergence of chief legal operations officers and data scientists.
• People - attracting, retaining and developing talent.
• Law firms - what clients will expect from their law firms.
The discussion will be facilitated by Craig Budner, Global Strategic Growth Partner at K&L Gates.
