Join us for an interactive webinar where Morrison & Foerster’s corporate partners, Maureen Ho and Lip Kian Ang, will discuss some interesting trends in M&A deal terms that emerged from an analysis of over 30 M&A transactions in Asia between July 2020 and November 2021. They will explore the implications of such trends for M&A transactions in 2022 and provide practical negotiation tips for GCs who are active in the M&A market or who are planning for their next M&A transaction.

Maureen Ho - Partner, Hong Kong
Maureen is a partner at Morrison & Foerster (International) LLP. Maureen’s practice focuses on advising private equity and real estate funds, and financial and corporate investors in all aspects of their investment cycle, including private and public mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, infrastructure investments, joint ventures, as well as pre-IPO investments, bolt-on acquisitions and corporate restructurings. Maureen also has experience advising clients in corporate carve-outs, management buy-outs and general corporate matters. She has been recently named ‘Rising Star’ in Private Equity category in Asia-Pacific region by International Financial Law Review (IFLR).
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Maureen worked in a leading international law firm’s Hong Kong and London offices, during which she was a secondee at The Carlyle Group for seven months advising its Asia team in their investments and disposals.
Maureen speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Lip Kian Hang - Partner, Singapore
Lip Kian represents international funds, multinational corporations, and financial institutions in large cross-border private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and fund transactions.
Aside from corporate transactional work, he regularly counsels clients on general corporate, regulatory and compliance, shareholder and investor relations, and employment matters. His work spans a wide range of industries including real estate, technology, innovative businesses, and fast moving consumer goods.
Clients commend Lip Kian for being “excellent in terms of client service and work quality”, his “consistently good judgment, technical skill and thoroughness”, as well as his ability to “explain difficult concepts or issues with clarity” in providing advice that is “incisive and balanced, considering not just the legal aspects, but also the commercial and operational practicalities.”
