Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Charlotte

COVID-19 vaccinations are well underway, children are returning to school, but many employees may not return to the old office environment.  While some work cannot be done remotely, many companies were able to shift certain types of work to the virtual workplace in response to the pandemic. During this program, we will discuss what the new normal will look like and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of remote work and the myriad of legal considerations as we head back into the office. The seminar will cover:
• Policy changes to consider regarding COVID-19 protocols, return to work plans, off-duty conduct, changes in leave laws, business travel, etc.
• Possible exempt status changes under the FLSA.
• Unemployment insurance implications.
• Accommodation issues.
• Impact of Back to School Plans and Family Responsibilities Discrimination risk.
