ACC Middle East and North AfricaDrawing on 30 years experience advising and representing State and Commercial parties from more than 70 jurisdictions on complex and high-profile commercial matters, the keynote will be presented by Professor Khawar Qureshi QC, Serle Court London and McNair Chambers Qatar.
He will highlight key issues that are vital, yet often overlooked, in effectively avoiding and managing disputes.
Professor Qureshi QC will be joined by Alexander Whyatt, Legal Director, Eversheds Sutherland and a specialist in the avoidance and resolution of disputes and Huw Davies, CLO (Acting) and Legislation Director of the Qatar Free Zones Authority for the panel discussion.

- Khawar Qureshi QC specialises in Commercial Litigation, International Arbitration and International Law. He is consistently identified as a leader in his fields of practice and has undertaken arbitrations and litigation for and against commercial and State parties from more than 70 States, including most of the GCC jurisdictions.
- Alexander Whyatt, Legal Director, Eversheds Sutherland, Doha. Alex is a specialist in the avoidance and resolution of disputes, with a focus on construction and engineering projects.
-Huw is the Chief Legal Officer (Acting) and Legislation Director of the Qatar Free Zones Authority and its investment arm Doha Venture Capital. The QFZA was established in 2018 to oversee and regulate the world- class free zones in Qatar. Huw is a qualified barrister of England and Wales, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors accredited mediator.
