Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC San Francisco Bay Area

With new data protection laws and guidance popping up weekly, most organizations find it extremely difficult to stay abreast of these developments – let alone understand how they impact your organization. This session will provide you with a roadmap on the issues you will need to consider and the steps your organization will need to take to meet your compliance obligations under the new state privacy laws effective in 2023 (the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) , the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) and the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA)). During the session we will also discuss some of the other major data protection issues that will impact many global organizations into 2022, including cross-border transfers of personal data, transfer impact assessments and the new EU Standard Contractual Clause, and new privacy laws on the horizon.

Speaker:
Gretchen A. Ramos, Global Co-Chair of the Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity, Greenberg Traurig
