Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC San Francisco Bay AreaFor a company to expand its global footprint in a competitive marketplace almost always requires engaging workers on the ground. The legal risks and opportunities in structuring these relationships differ significantly around the world, and the complexity is further compounded by the intersection with other areas of law, including tax, corporate, intellectual property and employment, to name a few. While there are various structural options for engaging global workforces, in some cases, using a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or Employer of Record (EOR) may be an optimal hiring model; however, there are also significant tax, IP, employment and equity compensation considerations with such an approach. In this webinar, Baker McKenzie partners will discuss key legal compliance issues that companies need to consider before choosing a PEO / EOR model to engage workforces globally, and will discuss a few other options to consider as well.
