Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC National Capital RegionThe export of goods, services, and information is not for the faint of heart. The logistical aspects are time-consuming and the U.S. regulations are highly complex. Perhaps because of this complexity, regulatory missteps and mistakes happen often, to both small businesses and multinational corporations alike.
It is essential for businesses participating in international trade to understand the components of the appropriate regulations, how they interact with one another, and how they apply to different situations. This panel will simplify and demystify the core components of international trade regulations and key elements of regulatory compliance. The panelists will also address common misconceptions about the ITAR, EAR, and other relevant laws and regulations, and offer practical advice on how to correct them among your team, no matter the global footprint of your company. Finally, this panel will provide you with the terminology and know-how to properly issue spot potential compliance violations, and effectively discuss these with outside counsel.
