The ACC Singapore Chapter and Control Risks are delighted to invite you to a talk on 'Outlook for 2020: Key Risks and Issues for the General Counsel'.
Geopolitics and US-China tensions, as well as rising activism have direct impact on regulations, international trade and foreign policy today, which will affect general counsels as the line between business and politics has blurred. Political sensitivities, most notably between the US and China, have forced businesses to thread very carefully so as not to be perceived as picking a side and suffer reputational damage. Meanwhile, social pressures are driving regulatory actions and presenting reputational dilemmas to companies – and the proliferation of social media has all but heightened reputational risk. 2020 looks set to be a year where familiar risks remain, but amplified and more impactful.
Join Dane Chamorro and Andrew Macintosh, Partners at Control Risks, as they discuss the top global risks for businesses in 2020, and how these risks might impact the general counsel. They will also share case studies of work done at Control Risks and how multinational corporations, and their general counsels, were able to manage these risks.
