ACC OntarioPlease join Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP and the Association of Corporate Counsel Ontario Chapter for an in-depth seminar examining the prominent privacy and cybersecurity issues facing both Canadian and global organizations today.
Privacy and cybersecurity rank among the top issues facing organizations around the world, including in Canada. Organizations must navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory environment, risks posed by data breaches and cybersecurity incidents, and the potential for significant business disruption, reputational impacts, class action and liability. Corporate counsel have a key role in managing legal and related risk in these areas. This practical session for corporate counsel will address:
- Current trends in privacy law
- Case law update and lessons learned
- Cybersecurity planning and privilege
- The role of corporate counsel
This program will be eligible toward 1.5 Substantive Hours of the Law Society of Ontario's annual CPD requirement.
