This ethics presentation will cover a variety of "hot topics" involving real-life situations faced by in-house counsel. These include border searches and seizures of laptops and other devices that contain confidential or privileged client information; mandatory and permissive bar charges and how to address them; the “rogue” employee in the legal department; whether and to what extent settlement discussions are protected; and dealing with an opponent who initiates or threatens media coverage of a dispute.
