Dawn Raids – How to Survive the Chaos

Our panel of speakers will take you through a scenario-based presentation addressing the practical implications of a real-time dawn raid. Whether from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) or the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), our team of lawyers have been at the coal-face of dawn raids and will help you build a toolkit to take away with you using their applied advice.
It has been widely reported by the media that companies in the UK face dawn raids by the CMA from the middle of March 2019. With this in mind we understand the live and evolving pressures that in-house counsel face from the regulatory authorities.

Let’s set the scene…….
Imagine the following scenario: it’s Monday morning and you receive a call from reception. A team of external investigators have arrived at your offices unannounced and are requesting access to the central computer servers, seizing smart phones for an offsite review, and seeking to interview a number of your key executives. At the same time, you can see call requests coming in from two other UK offices. Your company is being raided by a regulatory agency in multiple locations.
How do you survive the chaos that threatens to ensue? Do you have an incident response plan at the ready? What do you say to your employees? Have key executives been properly briefed? When can you call your external lawyers? To what extent can you insure against the risks?
