Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC Northeast OhioCrisis communications consultants and attorneys working for the same clients may find themselves working against one another when the crisis looks like the prelude to a lawsuit.
To quote the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics: “…legal controversies today are tried in the Court of Public Opinion—at least as much as in any Court of Law. …Because the value of a company's reputation is immeasurable -- and perhaps its largest uninsured asset—a corporation loses when the brand image is tarnished, even if the corporation technically wins at trial.”
But how do you prevail in both courts?
The content of this 1.50 seminar will cover:
• How to establish and maintain “control of the message.”
• What to do when CEOs, attorneys and the PR staff insist on “no comment.”
• Winning on social media, where the Court of Public Opinion is always in session.
• How to tell your story when litigation may be looming.
Throughout the panelists’ presentation, as well as after, the attendees will be encouraged to ask questions on specific crisis situations, real and hypothetical.
