Overview (Program Summary)
Presenting is hard. Presenting legal concepts and consequences to business clients, in particular senior leadership and board members, is uniquely challenging. Many topics do not lend themselves to capturing the audience’s attention and communicating in a brief yet comprehensive way. This program will help you navigate these challenges. First, Professor Jeanine W. Turner, from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown and a member of the ACC NCR Leadership Academy faculty, will explore a framework for developing presentations, with an emphasis on audience analysis, and discuss the integration of technology within presentations. Then, Leadership Academy Alums will lead table talks about putting that framework into practice as an in-house attorney. Appropriate for all levels of expertise and seniority.
You will learn how to:
Take complex information and simplify for your audience
Use a framework for quickly organizing and planning your messages
Think about how to best use visual aids to support your message
Please join us July 25th for lunch at 12 Noon and stay for this valuable interactive workshop.
LUNCH IS PROVIDED.
