ACC Houston June Chapter Meeting CLE: What Do I Do If There’s A Whistleblower In Our Organization?
Many state and federal laws protect whistleblowing in the workplace. Indeed, it is encouraged by many federal agencies without the resources to enforce the laws. Retaliation against whistleblowers is also a serious offense. In-house counsel should be able to advise business leaders about the basics of whistleblowing and the steps managers should and should not take when dealing with a whistleblower. This program will prepare you for the steps you need to take when these situations arise.
Speakers
Jeff Heller, Of Counsel, Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP
Ruth Pancherz, Counsel - Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits, BP America, Inc.
