Many issues in employment law are governed by a simple principle; managers should treat employees like they would want to be treated.  But it's not always so straightforward.  This session will address areas where employment law is more technical so that missteps are more likely and we'll provide concrete guidance on how to avoid those missteps.  The areas addressed will include:

  • EEO fundamentals
  • Administering the ADA
  • Family and Medical Leave Act Abuse
  • Handbook provision to get right
  • Separation agreements
  • Labor law applied in the non-union workplace
  • Evolving workforce issues
  • Talent acquisition and hiring
