Carmel Mountain Preserve, Sunday, September 23 @ 8:30 a.m.

Carmel Mountain Preserve is a scenic open space area with ocean views nestled among the dense residential developments of Carmel Valley. This area is known for its endangered endemic flora and unique seasonal (vernal) pools, home to the rare San Diego Fairy Shrimp. Although we will be visiting during the “off-season,” the Carmel Mountain Preserve is a hidden gem of habitat preservation in Coastal North County that is worth discovering and exploring at any time of the year.

ACC Night at the Movies

Please join us for the October ACC movie night.  Tom Vazakas is coordinator.  To keep things simple, Tom proposes a movie, based largely on reviewer ratings, and a date.  Please feel free to suggest a different film or date than the one below.  Movies typically will be on a Friday or Saturday evening, start time between 7:00 and 8:00.  Theater location will be decided closer to the event, after Tom receives responses.

The film for the October movie night is “A Star Is Born,” a film very well regarded by the critics.  The proposed date is Friday, October 19.

Please contact Tom as soon as you can, but by Tuesday, October 16, at  Tom’s telephone number is (858) 228-7193.
