Business organizations often find themselves part of a joint or multiple representation, in which the same law firm represents multiple organizations or individuals involved in the same matter. As this type of representation can present a number of ethical and practical challenges, no corporation should become part of a joint representation without careful consideration of the risks and advantages it might entail. This panel discussion with corporate cousnel will include a discusion of those risks and advantages, and a reminder of points every business organization should bear in mind before agreeing to a joint representation.
Moderator: Randy Tietjen, Chair of Professional Responsibility Committee at Robins Kaplan
