Whistleblower protection is of crucial importance for the European justice system, the rule of law, and for improving supporting and ensuring legal and regulatory compoliance of companies. Inhouse counsel are key to upholding internal reporting processes and to helping companies solve issues that have been reported. This panel discussion focuses on how companies currently deal with whistleblowing, what both whistleblowers and corporations need from policymakers, and how to balance the fine line between public interest and legitimate protection from potential reputational damage.
