ACC to Hold Third Annual Corporate Counsel University to Sharpen Practice Skills of New In-house Attorneys

WASHINGTON (April 3, 2014) — The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), a global bar association representing more than 33,000 in-house counsel in 85 countries, will hold its third annual Corporate Counsel University (CCU), a two-day program, especially designed for attorneys who are new to in-house practice.


Topics during the two-day program will range from emerging trends in employment law to data privacy, compliance and intellectual property issues. In-house counsel from Xerox Corporation, Israel Chemicals Ltd., RGA Reinsurance Company, Siemens Corporation and TELUS International, among others, will highlight global compliance and corporate litigation, contract drafting and negotiations, outside counsel management and strategic planning.

Winners of ACC's "Top 10 30-Somethings," which recognizes in-house counsel rising stars for their innovation, global perspectives, proactive practice, advocacy efforts and community service work, will be announced at CCU.

Further, attorneys can earn up to 12 continuing legal education (CLE)/continuing professional development (CPD) credit hours at CCU and will have the opportunity to network with in-house counsel peers and other industry professionals.
