Join ACC's Energy Committee and sponsor Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. in an informative webcast addressing the significant changes in both Canadian tax law and the 2007 Canada-United and these changes will affect international tax planning of virtually all organizations, such as U.S. LLCs, Canadian ULCs, or partnerships within their corporate structure, when making cross border payments. Included in this webcast will be a discussion of:
- Changes to the Canada-U.S. Tax Treaty (which will affect withholding tax rates on cross border payments)
- Possible restructuring solutions (having regard to the business and tax objectives for using fiscally transparent entities)
- Canada Income Tax Act (which may apply to deny the deduction by Canadian entities of interest on money borrowed to invest in foreign affiliates of Canadian entities)
