Complying With the EU's Environmental Regulations

If your organization is thinking about selling products to countries within the European Union, be aware of heightened environmental regulations. Some of you may already be familiar with the "REACH" (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances) program which is designed to protect human health and the environment.  Consumer electronics also have special rules to minimize the amount of hazardous materials. Indeed, the EU's emphasis on pollution prevention and control may affect the composition and labeling of your product.
