The Association of Corporate Counsel is looking for a director to enhance and strengthen the visibility and strategic positioning of the Association globally. The director will identify and further develop a presence primarily in Europe and Canada and secondarily in China and Latin America.

The director will develop and administer programs to increase the Association’s brand outside the US and to grow membership, provide guidance on the development of ACC resources, educational and networking programs and identify opportunities to further increase the associations visibility.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5 years experience in running international programs (including membership recruitment and retention, sponsorship, communications, and or programming)
• Excellent writing ability and strong oral communications skills
• Experience working outside the US
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with diverse constituencies, cultural backgrounds and personalities, including members, chapter officers, staff and contacts at external organizations and in locales outside the US
• Fluency in other languages required
• Significant travel required
• Law degree or legal background a plus
