Law about Databases
Webcast CLE is not available Oct 1, 2009 12 PM ET Duration: 1 Hour
Databases exist in somewhat of a legal mine field – particularly with respect to their protection under intellectual property or other law. Recent cases around sports data for fantasy leagues, and financial data for investors create a changing landscape in an already uncertain field. Companies who generate revenue from licensing data have to be flexible and creative to protect their investment. This webcast will deal with recent case law on the matter and suggest ways companies increase the likelihood that their investment data will be protected.
