While Congress considers mortgage lending reform at the legislative level, the Fed and HUD have been engaging in extensive rulemaking efforts regarding mortgage lending. Additionally, Financial regulator reform remains one of the Obama administration key legislative goals for 2009. This webcast in two parts. The first part will cover the mortgage lending reform efforts made by Congress, the Fed, HUD, and the new powers of the FTC. The second part will focus on Congress debates on regulatory reform proposals and the new federal banking regulations, such as the Credit CARD Act, OFAC penalties and new AML rules for stored value and prepaid cards.
