The Promise and Peril of Legal Technology
Technology is essential to the delivery of legal services. As we are asked to accomplish more with less, our ability to leverage legal expertise through technology only grows in importance. Yet, for all the progress that has been made, technology seems to perpetually underdeliver. Why is that? And what does it mean for a future where we will necessarily be more reliant on technology?
A former in-house lawyer who now consults, Casey Flaherty explores these questions. He is the creator of the Legal Tech Audit ((now, Service Delivery Review). He wrote the Tech Toolbox column for the ACC Docket for two years. He serves on the Board of Nextlaw Labs. He has his own legal tech startup, Procertas, which was part of the inaugural class of the Duke Lawtech Accelerator.
From Word to artificial intelligence, Casey will share his insights on the promise and peril of legal technology.
This program is open only to ACC WPA members. Seating is limited to 30 registrants.
A complimentary lunch will be provided
