Michael Finn Begins Term
as 31st President of WMACCA
Promising another great year for WMACCA, Michael Finn, Vice President and General Counsel of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems in Fairfax, VA, began his one-year term as president on Thursday, Jan. 19.
In remarks at the association's Annual Meeting, Michael noted our many accomplishments and laid out some of his plans for 2012. WMACCA will build on its successful General Counsel Breakfast Club by creating programs and events catering to members at every level in the legal department. We will also re-emphasize the benefits members gets simply from building their professional networks by holding more social events, including very localized lunch meetings and smaller socials. We'll also make efforts to re-connect with those who started WMACCA some 30 years ago, to allow current members to draw on their experiences and wisdom.
The meeting included the election of new officers and directors for WMACCA:
Karen Litsinger, senior vice president, corporate development and general counsel of Mirixa Corporation, as president-elect.
Rob Falk, general counsel of the Human Rights Campaign, as vice president, programming.
Luise Welby, managing associate general counsel of Freddie Mac, as vice president, external relations.
David Kessler, senior director, legal department public sector of McAfee, as vice president, public policy.
Maryanne Lavan, senior vice president and general counsel of Lockheed Martin Corporation (director).
James Williams, vice president and general counsel of Liquidity Services, Inc. (director)
Simone Wu, executive vice president, legal and administration, of XO Communications (director).
