WMACCA Cuts Program Fees For Remainder of 2009
Posted: Jul 22, 2009
Like the ads say, certain things are priceless. WMACCA's incomparable CLEs -- and the opportunities they provide to develop a robust professional network -- are among the best bargains in town. Nonetheless, we understand that there is a lot of belt-tightening going on, both by companies and by our members. So, for the remainder of this calendar year, the fees for WMACCA signature luncheons and Forum programs held at hotels/restaurants will be cut in half.
Beginning with our September line-up, members will be asked to pay only $20 to attend these programs. Members in-transition will be charged $10. The non-member rate will remain at $50, but we will credit $30 of that fee to your first year's membership in ACC/WMACCA if you join within a month of the program date.
The WMACCA Board agreed to implement these changes as a "recession special" to encourage members to continue to attend these programs in person in order to benefit from the substantive content and the networking opportunities. The Board decided not to make the programs free because a nominal fee seems to ensure that registrations will be in line with actual attendance, allowing us to plan better. The Board also noted that the fees charged for these programs have never covered the cost, but that any offset helps WMACCA's fiscal picture.
