WMACCA Chapter

Program Services

WMACCA programs are second to none in meeting the continuing education needs of in-house counsel.  Look to WMACCA first to meet your CLE needs.  We put on more than 60 CLEs each year.  While WMACCA programs generally are presented “live and in-person” to provide networking opportunities, WMACCA also frequently provides a distance-learning option to allow members to access a program by teleconference or Web seminar.

We know that last-minute schedule changes are in the nature of the beast, and we are here to serve you.  Here is a quick guide to signing up for WMACCA programs at the last minute:

  • On-Site Attendance:  If you want to attend a program in person, please e-mail the chapter contact for that program (and you can find that information on the event listing on the WMACCA Web page calendar).  We can (almost) always add you to the list.
  • Web Seminars:  If you want to access a program that is being presented by Web seminar, you can get into the Web seminar tool at any time. Simply direct your browser to http://chapterwebcasts.acc.com/wmacca.php, select the program you want to participate in and follow the registration process.  The last screen of that process provides a link to the Web seminar and a program-specific password that you will need to enter to begin viewing the seminar.  If you have pre-registered for the program, but did not receive access information, you also should follow this process to participate.

WMACCA is certified as an MCLE sponsor by the Virginia State Bar.  Several other Bars (including New York and California) have reciprocity with Virginia and recognize courses accredited by the Virginia Bar.  Others will grant credit for our programs after you go through a brief application process for the course. Please see the subpage titled "CLE Credit and Program Materials" for information on credit associated with the programs we have presented thus far this year.  Also, you can download program materials from these listings.

We archive our Web seminars on our chapter Web site (click on the subpage titled "Web seminars (live and archived)" or go to http://chapterwebcasts.acc.com/wmacca.php).  This service allows you to receive the content at a time that works for you.
