Ethical Considerations when
your client is breaking the law

WMACCA is pleased to welcome back former White House Counsel John Dean and attorney and presidential historian James D. Robenalt of Thompson Hine LLP for a brand new program drawing on the lessons of Watergate. As attempts to cover up the Watergate burglary continue but start to falter, Mr. Dean must confront the ethical obligations facing a lawyer to report ongoing crime or fraud by an organizational client.  In this program, Mr. Dean and Mr. Robenalt will provide the ultimate case study on the ethical rules and considerations Mr. Dean faced when his efforts to "report up" did not resolve the issues.  Using the Model Rules of Professional Conduct as a guide, they will discuss how Mr. Dean determined what he had to do and would do next.  WMACCA is applying for 2.0 hours of Virginia Bar MCLE (Ethics) credit for this program.  This program will be presented on Oct. 21 in Richmond and on Oct. 22 in McLean.  Click here for all the details and registration.
