The prevalence of these risks continues to rise as technology becomes more sophisticated, information travels faster, and the government tries to keep up. When faced with government investigations, corporate compliance or white collar defense, the stakes are high.
Husch Blackwell attorneys Catherine Hanaway and Anthony Grice will offer practical tips so you can:
• Recognize Risk • Avoid Liability • Make smart decisions based on sound counsel
Catherine L. Hanaway: The former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri and Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, Catherine has significant experience litigating complex civil and white collar criminal cases and representing clients in regulatory challenges. As U.S. Attorney, Catherine personally and successfully tried cases to jury verdicts and supervised more than 4,000 cases and a staff of over 100. During her tenure, the office set records for the most cases tried and money forfeited. Catherine led major expansions of the office’s prosecution of sophisticated white collar crimes – including securities and bank frauds. As the first and only woman to serve as Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, she held the line against tax increases proposed by the Governor, balanced the budget in an economic downturn, reformed the state’s corporate laws and passed innovative economic development tools.
Anthony G. Grice: Anthony conducts workplace investigations and has successfully represented employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Missouri Commission on Human Rights (MCHR) and other federal and state administrative agencies. He has achieved favorable results for employers through alternative dispute resolution, including arbitrations and mediation.
