Overview

Robert Half will be hosting a CLE and Networking Event on the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) to discuss what Inside Counsel needs to know as it relates to the May, 2018 triple threat:
·         The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
·         The ePrivacy Regulation (ePR)
·         The National Information Security Directive (NISD)
This panel discussion will cover all phases of GDPR readiness, including the scope of the regulation, how to get started, conducting a global discovery initiative on locations, types, and data flow, and current opinions and decisions from European regulators. It will also address some of the more challenging aspects of the Regulation, such as:
•               The expanded definition of personal data
•               Meeting Article 32 security requirements
•               Vendor management and use of cloud technology
•               Staffing considerations, especially regarding the Data Protection Officer
