The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Southern California Chapter, along with keynote speaker, former Secretary of State, John Kerry will honor Southern California Edison with “2017 Diversity Counsel of the Year” and the Amazon Studios with “2017 Pro Bono Counsel of the Year” during the organization’s 22nd Annual Awards Gala held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles on June 16, 2017.

"ACC Southern California takes great pride in honoring our local in-house legal departments for their commitment to excellence at our annual gala,” said Shawn Murphy, President of the Southern California Chapter of ACC.

Presented by LexisNexis and Ogletree Deakins, we are pleased to announce the 2017 Award winners:

  • 2017 Diversity Counsel of the Year Award: Southern California Edison Legal Department

  • 2017 Pro Bono Counsel of the Year Award:
    Amazon Studios, Legal Department

Additionally, ACC Southern California will raise funds during the gala with a Silent Auction for the Pro Bono efforts of the chapter. ACC Southern California organizes opportunities for members to serve the community, such as Clinic in a Box®, Lawyer for a Day and Tree Planting throughout the year.
