Overview

Join us for a moderated panel discussion on adopting updated policies and other best practices for addressing culture change and preventing backlash.

Our panel of experienced in-house employment counsel will talk about innovative approaches that organizations are undertaking to eliminate harassment and combat backlash, including the use of anonymous incident reporting systems, proactive training and transparency about how harassment claims will be handled, and top down messaging on "no tolerance" and company values while maintaining a congenial professional work environment where senior men are encouraged to mentor junior women.

Rachael Akohonae is Global Head of Diversity and U.S. Head of Employee Relations and Employment Counsel at BNP Paribas. She focuses primarily on assisting the business with a broad range of employee legal issues and also is responsible for diversity and inclusion initiatives globally.

Sonya Johnson, Senior Counsel at National Grid

Sonya Johnson is Senior Counsel II at National Grid USA, where she is a member of the Employment/ Labor and Benefits Team. She provides counsel on a wide range of employment law topics and also trains managers on various employment and labor law issues, including maintaining a respectful workplace.
