Overview

Join us on August 8 for a program that will explore the developments in US and EU Data Protection Law, and discuss the current regulatory expansions in privacy and data protection from a global spectrum.

On May 25, 2018, the new European General Data Protection Regulation will go into effect.  What will this new law mean for global companies doing business in the European Union or interacting with European consumers? The new law will impose a much broader framework for processing information about individuals, and subject violators to increased fines of up to 20 million Euro or 4% of the annual worldwide turnover in case of non-compliance. Our practitioners will discuss factors for US companies to consider, and will examine the challenges facing organizations preparing for this new law.
