New York City ChapterCLO Forum ~ Breakfast MeetingSAVE THE DATE!
Space is limited and attendance is restricted to 25 ACC members who currently function as a GC or CLO only. Time: Location: The CLO Forum provides our chapter General Counsel and Chief Legal Officers an opportunity to meet informally with their peers for a free-flowing discussion centered around a pre-announced topic of practical interest. This is a "PowerPoint-free zone," and our discussions are confidential, with no marketing or other agenda. The CLO Forum meets four times per year. At these meetings, CLOs address the special management challenges they face practicing as a corporate generalist or more accurately a "serial specialist". Some meetings have involved everyone addressing real life solutions to issues raised by hypotheticals, some are less structured. At one meeting, a plaintiff's employment counsel addressed the group about mistakes and missed opportunities, by in-house counsel during litigation including the management of retained counsel. Members of this very active group frequently exchange follow-up information substantive law as well as management issues such as budgeting electronically. The CLO Forum is chaired by Laura Alemzadeh, General Counsel, co-chaired by Kwarma Vanderpuye, For inquiries relating to the CLO Forum, contact Amy Adams, Executive Director. |
