Jackson Lewis Summer Social

On June 16, NEOACCA members enjoyed a wonderful evening hosted by Jackson Lewis.  Following a day of intermittent rain, the huge skylight at the Western Reserve Historical Society's Crawford Auto Aviation Museum gathered sunlight to illuminate our reception.  Guests enjoyed an assortment of interesting appetizers while strolling through the Museum's spectacular collection. Thank you Jackson Lewis.

Our 2010 winter social, generously sponsored by Littler Mendelson and Vestige Digital Investigations, was a great success. Guests fought through the slushy dregs of the previous day's winter storm to get to the party only to discover that a power outage, which plunged most of Cleveland into darkness, also enveloped the charming Light Bistro. The staff didn't miss a beat, placing tea lights in water glasses and positioning them up the stairs and all around the party room. Luckily the lights came on just as arrivals increased. This grand start to our winter event really sparked conversation! Included here are just some of the photos taken that evening at Light Bistro.

Cruising on the Cuyahoga with Jackson Lewis

Thank you to Jackson Lewis LLC for hosting a wonderful evening for NEOACCA members and guests on June 11. The weather was perfect -- we enjoyed blue skies and calm seas as we meandered along the Cuyahoga River and out into Lake Erie. Food and drink was enjoyed by all. There was musical entertainment and Ed Pershey of the Western Reserve Historical Society told us stories of Cleveland's early settlers.

2007 Holiday Party at the House of Blues

On November 29, NEOACCA members and guests got a jump on the holiday season with a celebration at the House of Blues. More than 80 attendees enjoyed the beautiful Cambridge Room, good food and great conversation, making this NEOACCA's biggest and best social gathering.

Developments in Shareholder Communications

On Thursday, December 6, 2007, more than 30 corporate counsel met at the Marriott Hotel to hear Gordon Kaiser, David Zagore and Cip Beredo of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey present the latest developments in shareholder communications.

October 18, 2007 CLE Seminar

On October 18, more than 30 NEOACCA members gathered at Littler Mendelson for a continuing legal education seminar entitled "21 Common Employer Mistakes and How to Avoid Them."

NEOACCA Third Annual National Community Service Day

On Friday, September 28, 2007, NEOACCA worked alongside volunteers from CityYear and Smith Barney at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Cleveland. In the main courtyard, we planted bushes and mums, refurbished the peace mural and rebuilt two picnic tables, while volunteers inside completed inspiring canvas paintings to brighten the school's lobby and auditorium.

On September 20, more than 30 NEOACCA members gathered at the Union Club to hear an excellent presentation entitled: Deciphering the Alphabet Soup: Privacy & Data Security Compliance in Today's Global Marketplace.

March CLE Seminar at The Forum

Forced to cancel our February seminar due to the "blizzard," Ohio weather struck again just in time for our March meeting! Despite tornadoes, sleet and snow, 26 members heard Michael Brittain and Shelly Hillyer of Calfee, Halter & Griswold deliver "Protecting Your Corporate Treasury and Legal Budget," which presented a wealth of information on insurance issues important to in-house counsel.
