Signature Luncheon: Using Emotional Intelligence to To Succeed In Your Legal World

Details
Location:

At Valo Park, 7950 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA.

Overview

How effective are you as a listener, influencer, and collaborator?
Are you aware of and managing your emotions in workplace interactions, especially in conflict situations?
Are you aware of how emotions may be driving others' workplace behaviors, and how to manage those situations?

Lawyers can improve their listening, influencing and collaboration skills by being emotionally intelligent – by becoming more self-aware (understanding your emotions and how to manage them), and by developing social awareness (reading others’ emotions, and understanding how to respond), using cues like body language and tone. In this interactive signature luncheon presentation, leadership development expert Rebecca Shambaugh will provide attendees with the tools to develop and enhance their emotional intelligence, and explain ways in which attorneys can use this tool to build relationships and become strategic partners of the business managers and executives with whom they work.

Rebecca ("Becky") Shambaugh is the President of SHAMBAUGH, a global leadership development organization. A well-recognized author and speaker, Becky partners with leading companies to help them develop winning strategies drive greater levels of innovation, growth, and profitability while creating the most powerful competitive advantage on the innovation front. Becky is a member of the faculty of ACC NCR’s Leadership Academy.
